Lily, It was nice speaking with you earlier.  I am coming to Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Suzhou with no Chinese friends so I would like to focus on lessons I will need to survive.  These include food, train station, travel, hotel, etc.

I will suggest "Hot pot chitchat" and "finding a street number" unless you have something better.

Lily, Can you tell me if the following statements are correct?  They are related to last weeks lesson.

I have lived in Singapore for less than 4 months.  我住了新加坡不到四个月。or   我住在新加坡不到四个月了。  

I gave my friend a present for Christmas. 我给朋友一份礼物圣诞节了。

I sent my friend an email. 我给朋友发的电邮。 or 我给朋友发电邮了。

1）我住在新加坡不到四个月了。This one is correct.Or you can say 我在新加坡住了不到四个月。 

2）我给了朋友一份圣诞节礼物。

3）我给朋友发电邮了。This one is correct!

I will be coming with 2 friends from America and wanted to visit the Chinesepod office on 15, 16 February.  However, I realize this is Chinese New Year so if the office is closed then no problem.

I don't want people to change their personal plans just to show me around the office for an hour.  But if they are working anyway, then we would like to stop by.
