I have an IT question. Just looking ahead to next weeks lessons and it seems to me that the lesson transcript for ordering Chinese take-out is not on the webpage for the lesson.

根,条, are both measure words to for long stick-like things?

Another question. in the Supermarket lesson: the dialogue has
不僅省時間，還省錢
but the vocabulary list has
| bùjǐn ... érqiě |
Would 還 be interchangeable in this case with 而且?

The measure word for 香蕉 is 根 not 条.
根 is often for long stick-like things that cannot be bended. 条 is often for long stick-like thing that are soft and can be bended. If 香蕉 is bended, it will break into two,right? :D
As for your second question, 还 is interchangeable in this case with 而且. You can use both 不仅...而且 and 不仅...还.

Ahh...很有意思 about 根. Your explanation is very helpful. In Cantonese we use 条. If 香蕉 is broken, it can still be eaten, I guess! :)
