Addtional Vocab

April 20, 2010, 04:07 AM posted in General DiscussionJust wondering. Generally speaking, do the words that be reproduced at all in the main section of other lessons or are they considered very specific and not high enough frequency to appear elsewhere?
I understand that it neither will apply to everyword but I am just wondering whether to spend time adding these words. At the moment I find I have a lot of time to listen to the audio reviews and am learning these words in no time at all so I am trying to decide whether to continue spending extra time on the additional vocab or just move onto new lessons and hope they appear again sometime.

Hi go_manly
Thanks for the feedback. You may have confirmed what I was thinking to do. I suppose if its a high enough frequency word, then I will see it in a lesson at some point.
I agree on the expansion sentences and I have a separate anki deck for them. They have brought my speaking skills on leaps and bounds instead of just learning individual words.

April 20, 2010, 04:29 AMI don't think there is any point learning the extra vocab, because it doesn't get used anywhere, and you will not remember it. Wait until you meet it in a lesson.
I do think the Expansion sentences are very worthwhile though. However, they use previously unseen vocabulary, so you might need to spend some time making up your own vocab list using an online dictionary or some other resource.
