I am stuck on translating this english sentence to chinese.

"I'm thinking I could ask my friend if he would like to find a house that's a little bigger."

Help would be appreciated.

多谢

Here's my attempt! (will need correction!)

我在觉得我能问我的朋友如果他想找一个更大的房子

Wǒ zài juéde wǒ néng wèn wǒ de péngyǒu rúguǒ tā xiǎng zhǎo yīgè gèng dà de fángzi

我在想,我可以问我的朋友他想不想找个大点的房子。

“觉得”和“想”是不太容易区分(differentiate)。

this is the English order chinese.

I......if he......

如果他......我就......

或者:我......他是不是/是否......

Generly speaking,Chinese people like to put the condition before the result (please donot laugh at my english in the view my tongue is not English),so the PLACE WORD,TIME WORD and CLAUSE etc. precede VERB or MAIN SENTENCE. e.g.:

我在学校学汉语。

我明天上课。

你回来的时候,给我打个电话。

These are the versions I came up with.

我在觉得,我可以问我的朋友假如他想望找一个更大的房子。 我在觉得,我可以问我的朋友假如他想望搬一个更大的房子。 我在觉得,我可以问我的朋友他想不想找个更大的房子。

Question: Do I need to use "假如"?

and i like this one:

我在觉得,我可以问我的朋友他想不想找个更大的房子。

but try to use other way to express"i am thinking".

my apinion:

我在想可以问问我的朋友,看他愿不愿意找一个大点儿的房子。

hi,jbaldwi1

i think it would be easier to translate with the context.
