It doesn't really mean anything - it's a name I was given, kind of a pet name :-p 小凉 Means, "little cool"...

Oh, I think you might need to enable it. Click "tools" at the top menu, then "add-ons", then click "enable" where it says "pinyin tone marks"

I think they say after between 10 and 20 newbie lessons you should move on and try and do some elementary ones...
As for the convert to tone marks button - you can't see it?

mateyo ,..and yeah I did crop it the first time ,but not when I transferred it ,thus all the blank white space. Thanks again xiaoliang [little cool ]

Put the image in? I pressed "print screen" on my keyboard, then I opened up MS Paint, copied the bit of the image I wanted, pasted it into a new image, drew an arrow on it and saved it. Then I uploaded it to tinypic and linked to it with the same code as I put in the picture post:

I have a couple of questions.
1. I have windows 7 but how can I type in pinyin? especially how to I make the accent marks?
2. When does one cease to be a 'newbie'? I note there are over 300 lessons in 'newbie'. After all of them??
anyway if someone has a moment to answer I would be grateful.
PS This is a great site and I have already learned a lot here on my trial period so I will be definitely joining!

Put a number after the word, then hit the "convert to tone marks" button underneath your text window. For example wan3 becomes wǎn.
Number 1 = mā
Number 2 = má
Number 3 = mǎ
Number 4 = mà
