Electronic equipment

Hello everyone, 

        In August I will in Philadelphia, PA for a few days and I intend to buy an electronic dictionary Chinese-English/ English Chinese as well as a scanner pen to read and translate Chinese texts.

Does anyone has any suggestion for good items, based upon his/her own experience.
