How is Chinese input in China with cellphones other than the iPhone?

Especially with phones that don't have touchscreens, just keyboards. I know how it's done with an iPhone. How is it done say on a Blackberry or whatever the popular cellphone models are in China?

I don't know about in China but here in Canada Chinese input is done using google pinyin when using an Android device.

I'm curious to know how Chinese is input on proper Chinese phones. :)
