How would you translate this? I'm oversimplifying a bit here probably.

当 iPhone 或者 iPod touch 接近人手一台的时候,我就换回了android。

When I try the iPhone or iPod Touch, I go back to Android.

I think the most important part about this sentence is "人手一台" which means "everyone has one".  I think the sentence is best translated as "when almost everyone has an iPhone or iPod touch I'll switch back to an android".  Quite the non-conformist, it seems. :)

Thanks.

Something I do for fun and for learning purposes is to read forums, like Google+ and Quora and try and translate the shorter Chinese posts. There are colloquial/vernacular words and terms that mdbg and nciku can't handle and I have a harder time translating these. I type the phrases into Google and try to guess based on context, but not easy, for me that is.

I got the above from Google+.
