Chinesepod Language Option

April 02, 2012, 07:01 AM posted in General DiscussionFor some strange reason my Chinesepod is all in English now (on the website). I can't seem to find the place where I switch this anymore, it used to be right down the bottom.

Last week we removed these language mirrors. We're making a push to simplify the site and found these portals weren't widely used but were causing some occasional confusion.

I think it's a shame the Chinese got removed.

I'm still getting my e-mails from CPod in Chinese, which started when I switched the display preference to Chinese. I probably couldn't change it back now even if I wanted to. As to the feature not being widely used, maybe that's because it wasn't widely promoted. One way to simplify the site would be to remove the display ads. Those seem to cause a lot of confusion too.

Yeah I agree, I only just stumbled across it like last year, probably would have started using it earlier if I had known about it.

Oh, never mind, now my e-mails from CPod are back to using English. Was it something I said? If they keep "improving" like this I'll never have to use Chinese!

April 04, 2012, 02:39 AMI am having the same issue. The web site reverted to all English, and the option of choosing Chinese (or Korean) disappeared.
