Spotty dodgy website/content access

I tried getting onto the website in 3 places from NY this morning and am getting very spotty results. I can't download any of the audio files but sometimes I can get onto the website. Any clues? I am able to access other sites, like 百度, 豆瓣, nytimes.  Thanks.
