It's very good to see all the characters have the same sound and tone. "竟" is a perfect phonetic radical, hehe.

henning, as I indicated somewhere else, I am not trying to be comprehensive : the choice of definitions as well as words and character examples is arbitrary.

For words, I try go for high-frequency both on characters used and meaning. For characters, I rely on the Wenlin / ABC dictionary. If there is no example listed, the character is not included.

Here, Wenlin has : [liǎn] [yǐng] [jǐng]
No single-syllable words currently in dictionary
, the list of words containing 璄 is also empty, so I just won't include it. Sometimes if it's just some ancient word I won't list it either.

I am not trying to be encyclopedic, there are a other references for this (and unequalled support from changye where required).

Indeed, I agree, frequency should play a role.

But you can't deny that there it is fun in hunting down rare species and nail them to the board.

"Look, a crossbread of 王 and 竟! How extravagant!"

I would happily spend the rest of my life hunting through Chinese dictionaries, I'd include Japanese too... but there's only so much time in a day and so many things to do, fun and otherwise!
