since Pete is also a member, we would be:

Poems Without Poems With Pete     or

Poems After (Between) Poems With Pete

也可以说

Poems Without Pete--With Pete

(or however else you like these punctuated)

Not suggesting the Group name be changed! Short and sweet is always better.

It could be pronounced "plop!" as in "Pw/oP!"

Which would make us "Pwoppies".

But I can't decide if that sounds cute or really really gross...

Hi lotsofwordsandnospaces,

I will resign my membership if it allows you to avoid calling yourself "pwoppies" ;-p

Anyway, what's the next poem in the line up?

The next poem? That is for any of the members to decide really - I am looking for a Chinese educational angle for a McGonogall poem ;)

I might gently harass some of the members to contribute, because I am no scholar when it comes to Chinese OR Poetry!

As for leaving the group, it wouldn't be Poems Without Pete, without you... apart from in name.

Pete has given us several poems about war, but more dangerous than war is love.

Li Bai

a bitter love:

How beautiful she looks, opening the pearly casement,
And how quiet she leans, and how troubled her brow is!
You may see the tears now, bright on her cheek,
But not the man she so bitterly loves.
