What's changed?

I took my degree in Chinese 30 years ago, used it for a while then let it drop. I have picked it up again since and am now using it extensively in my work . What I would be interested to hear from other members is what they think has changed in the language over 30 years; not really vocabulary, as that is a given, but grammar and usage, sentence structure, that kind of thing. I have a feeling I sound very old-fashioned when I speak now - I don't want to try and become young and hip - just contemporary :-) And before anyone asks, I have managed to stop calling people 同志!
