Hi, all

I'm planing to visit Shanghai from Feb 13 to 16. It's the first time for me to visit China on Chinese New Year. I'm very excited but a little nervous. The city must be very different during the time. Activities, Dining info., Places to go, Tourist traps, any suggestions are welcome!

Please make sure you get earplugs in advance.

Depends on how close your hotel is to the locals. If they are next door, then get earplugs. If they are a mile away (because you are in an office park) then just put your head under the pillow, or turn on the clock radio (assuming you're in a 5 star hotel) or turn up your iPod.

But if you sleep through anything/everything, then don't bother. The fireworks won't be that loud.
