Anki - a way to reverse the 'side' shown first?

Is there a way in Anki to switch around the part that is shown first? If you see what I mean... At the moment, I have the Chinese part first and then the English is revealed with the Pinyin underneath. Is there anyway to swap this around?

Doodlemonster,

I'm a real novice at anki, but so you at least have some sort of anwer I would say in short that I think you should be able to but I'm not certain how.I would try opening your deck, clicking edit, and then clicking browse. This should open up all the cards in your deck. You can then apply filters I think..you could select recall or recognition...I think they're the 2 different types of cards you're after but this is where I'm not sure what to do without playing around with it for a while. You may want to say temparily inactivate either the recall or recognition part of your deck.I hope this is some sort of help but as I say I'm a novice.I just hope it's pointing you in the right direction.:)

I think you want the english translation of the word shown as the question and the answer given in Pinyin or Hanzi. Is that correct? I've had the same problem and did it that way: click on "edit" --> "browse items" --> "actions" --> "change model" --> click the "customize models" button --> "edit" --> "card tempates". There you can swap the text written in the answer field with the one written in the question field. "%(Front)s" should show Hanzi, "%(Back)s" should show english and "%(Tags)s" should show Pinyin. Good luck!
