二 was used when
1.read in counting,such as二、三、四
2.read as an ordinal numbers such as二月、第二天、二班
3.read before 两 which is used as a measure word such as"二两肉"。
4read before十/百
二十、二百
5read in room numbers、telephone numbers and so on.
两
1.Used before a measure word such as 两个 两次 两回两本书 两头牛
2.we say二十、二百,but when speak of 千,we should say"两千".So does 两万and even more.
3.Used before metrology measure word such as两米 两斤.
And i found it interested that 二 is usually used as "read" while 两 is used as"used".
