Why would they use up 上 and down 下 to describe ‘before’ noon and ‘after’ noon, can we use direct translate and say 'before noon' 前午 and 'after noon' 后午, does it still work if we say it like that?

Hi, does that mean the word ye means 'also' in these sentences? So we can use ye whenever we say something that we 'also' have/feel?

I notice alot of chinese native speakers whenever they say no to something, they would end the sentences with 谢谢 thank you. Will it seem rude if we don't say 谢谢 thank you everytime after we say 不用 no ?

can you use 这个 for everything you are asking for because chinese have a measure word for many items. For example if I want to buy a cat can I use 请问这个猫多少钱? instead of its measure word?
