As much as I like Joe, the English speech repetition is completely superfluous and distracting. One can easily read the translation within the dialogue box -- having someone repeat it in English (two times!) interrupts the Mandarin flow. 

I understand there are other reasons why this is done, such as perhaps making people somehow feel better or more comfortable, but I believe it's pedagogically distracting. I would happily pay a bit extra to have an *additional* version where it's pure Mandarin repetition with the little dialogue boxes (that is, one can just edit the video a bit and splice things around, and provide an option for pure Chinese).

It's unnecessary to have the English translation continuously repeated. The text is right there. It does not help comprehension and interferes.
