December 19, 2010 at 12:50 PMCheers Jason, that makes sense now. I thought at first that 节约 had the same meaning as 小气. So basically 节约 is used as a compliment, and 小气 is insulting? Got it =)

Just one little thing I thought I'd point out. In the expansion excersises there seems to be a typo.
"他出去谈生意了 - He's gone out to talk shop"
shouldn't it be "He's gone out to talk business"?
