April 28, 2015 at 1:10 PMMingmao, “应付”,sometimes (not all the times. I'll explain in more detials later)
(1)context: I'm very busy with work and my daughter comes along to ask me how to make fried rice. I give her some quick tips only without going through the details. Then, my daughter tells me:
(2)context: in a garment shop, a customer is just browsing through different tops without trying on anything. She keeps asking the shop assistant:
The shop assistant senses that it's unlikely that this customer will buy any clothes so her attitute is not overly positive. She might simply reply:
In chinese,
Most of the time, “应付” means "to handle something". For exaple:
Hopefully this helps clear the confusion.
