Hello, ladies--this was above my language level (an experiment, back to Elementary for me!). But I am working my way through the dialogue anyway and would appreciate clarification on a couple of usages. When she says, "听起来很棒" I she means "I hear [one hears] it's become really wonderful," right? If that's correct, my questions are these:
1) You can just leave out the pronoun before 听? (no 我, 他,etc.)? And this conveys "one hears" or "they say? Am I getting that right?
2) This use of 起 is new for me--maybe you cover it in an elementary lesson? Seems important and useful. Do I have it right that it means "becomes," "has become"?
Thanks. This was very humbling, like so much of my Mandarin study, but I have bookmarked it and will keep returning to it after more Elementary lessons :).
