Anyone else follow Constance's epic train of thought in this one?

• @6:44 she starts to share her joke about the student secretly wanting the teacher to be sick, but patiently refrains so that the lesson can move forward. Able to intuit the same joke from her smirk, I sank with dismay at her choice to withhold it
  
  
• "Alas," I thought to myself (& to Constance telepathically through the Internet), "either save it for another 请问 or we'll take this one to the grave."

• Oh, how I underestimated 我的老师! Watch as she tucks the nugget away into her Brain-Maze® (refer to Lesson QW0416**)
  
  
• A little over a minute (though far, far longer for this Atlantic bird, as I watch these videos at .5x speed & pause frequently to make tea & work calls)
  
  
• I return from an unpleasant conversation with my boss having completely forgotten the lost teacher-joke, but with a glass of iced tea & a positive outlook
  
  
• Bam!: @7:50, an epic 想出来(**) from Constance as she nails the punchline, & with post-prod visual assistance from Gwil-o
  
  
• Stunning performance. 10/10.

Thank you for cementing 想出来和恐怕 - & the latter's ironic potential - into my memory forever, & for giving me an unusual place to entertain myself at work with long-winded comment-section stories despite my boss's disapproval

I agree. Even if I weren't learning Mandarin, these types of lessons would still be fascinating from a purely linguistic standpoint: subtle differentiations of meaning & their psychological nuances; engaging & unique examples; Fiona's fun attempts at acting out little scenarios, & Constance's constant ability to be entertained by these attempts. Great presence with one another. Great presence with us, the viewers.Also: the roughly 50/50 split between Constance's Chinese & Fiona's English translations allows me to know immediately whether or not I understood Constance correctly the first time - & to feel gratification if I did, or else to jump back a few seconds & solve exactly where/what/why/how I misunderstood.Well done!
