It kind of surprises me how there seems to be no wind up or escalation to the man saying 算了 and 我们不吃了. Is this a realistic way of getting angry in China? If it had been a Western setting he would have said something like "Excuse me!?" or "I can't believe you just said that" etc. Are Westerners just angrier or more confrontational by default?
