If I was giving a presentation and wanted the group to look at the picture I'm presenting If I said 请看图片 it'd sound like I was ordering them to look, but saying  请看看图片 is more like a friendly suggestion?

还要等二十分钟?Is this a question, or just an interrogative statement? What makes it a question, there's no question words or markers that I know.

The vocabulary for this lesson has East and the secondary directions, but not the other ordinal directions north and south.

I can remember North from 北京 and east/west from the word 东西, but do you have an easy memory aid for South?

If I was saying something like "I understand what the author of this book is saying." I can use either 了解 or 理解, but 了解 would imply an academic understanding and 理解 implies that I emotionally empathized with the book?

This is funny, I might start using some. is 贫穷限制了我的想象力 supposed to be self derogatory?

Like 我喜欢你的新车,但 贫穷限制了我的想象力

In the Dialog it says "i Like" & "she Likes" but the sentence doesn't contain 喜欢. So is the addition of "I like" purely inferred from the opening topic sentence? So a more literal translation of "坐在电脑前玩游戏" would be "Sitting in front of the computer and play games"? Perhaps it would be better to put inferred words in parenthesis to show that they are not stated. "(I like) to sit at my computer and play games."
