Thanks for that example Josh. Wouldn't it be easier just to teach us the rule by saying that the last word is always 3rd tone and the each second word from the 2nd last word changes to second tone? (I'm sure u can come up with better way to explain what I'm saying) but it seems the rule is consistent with this from what I can tell
