大连人也有口音！但是，我同意--chinesepod 的主人应该说普通话说得很标准。对我来说从天津或北京来的老师都是最好的。有可能chinesepod 不能吸引专业的老师。

A few observations (from someone who is re-evaluating chinesepod after a long break)...

- I used to listen to Jenny and her colleagues just yak about the lesson topic. I got a lot out of those sessions - even though they were highly unstructured, Jenny and the others had great chemistry.

- For me, if I need grammar lessons, I'd rather get that content from Chinese Grammar for Foreigners. I'm OK with 2 intelligent people discussing the lesson topic without a lot of structure because, candidly, that's close to the natural speaking style of most native speakers.

- Re the focus in this lesson on proper names, I actually think it's very helpful - if you are reading the Chinese edition of any major newspaper or listening to CCTV news, these names come up again and again. You can't read the international news without knowing countries' and leaders' names.

- What I'm most concerned about is how much English is used in the Upper Intermediate and Advanced lessons. It's really counter-productive.Any good Chinese teacher can explain new concepts using only Chinese - going back a few years, Jenny and her colleagues excelled at this. I haven't surveyed all the recent lessons, but 5 out the 5 I did review relied extensively on English.

IDK, Chinesepod still has better content than most of the alternatives. ..if they're new hosts , they need time to develop a good teaching style and chemistry. But please, no more English!

@timothy，我同意。我以前使用chinesepod，最近回来看一看新的功能和内容好不好。在以前上层中间层水平的课程下，主人不用英文，并且多谈新单词和语法的概念。@elsha，你的发音很标准，你的中文都听的懂。在上层中间层水平以上，不需要说英文。
