December 29, 2009 at 5:44 AMOne thing that I did in 2009 was to really go out and use my chinese. About twice a month I hop on the bus and head for chinatown. I take my notepad and pocket translator with me. I also go to monterey park every wednesday for dinner. The really great thing is that chinese people LOVE to teach chinese, and will stop what they are doing to write something down for you. The key to making progress is to open your mouth and make the target language come out.

失眠 means insomnia.
