January 8, 2015 at 11:52 PMThanks for the info Earls. I find it strange that the 3 meanings can be so completely different.

January 8, 2015 at 4:52 PMI noticed that in this lesson expansion vocab you define 理论 as to reason with someone but in the other lessons listed for this word you define it as "Theory". Is this a mistake or another use/definition?

January 8, 2015 at 2:20 PMGlad to help Gardensongkl! What Wacom tablet did you end up ordering? I have an older one sitting around the house that I haven't really used recently but I'm thinking I will bring it out for when I'm studying Mandarin at home using my computer.

January 8, 2015 at 2:16 PMHi Fiona,
It's great to see you in the community chat! I found that it fit fine in intermediate for me due to the speed of speaking and there were a few new vocab as well. I really liked the extended uses for 就 and 才 and found I had to listen to the lesson a few times to get a better understanding of the uses.
It's this little things that I find can confuse me when talking to native speakers, I interpret the word based on the regular definition since I don't know many of these extended uses and it causes confusion when my reply doesn't really address what they were actually saying.
In the future would it be possible to include more of these extended uses for other vocabulary that we would be likely to encounter during regular conversations with locals?

January 8, 2015 at 2:06 PMThe difference is very slight, which explains how it was missed. I didn't even notice the difference initially eventhough Earls had it highlighted.

January 8, 2015 at 12:11 AMJust curious what mic you are using to record this lesson and is it using a mixer? I notice a bit of static the background when Constance, Fiona and Gwilym are talking.
Perhaps it could be either the gain is turned up too high on the mic or it's the sound card of the computer the lesson is recorded on. There is also a little bit of popping on the mic at some points.

January 11, 2015 at 1:09 AMThe sound is much better in this lesson compared to the previous lessons with Fiona and Constance. Good work and thank you for listening to our suggestions and improving the quality.
I was listening to the high quality for both this lesson and the lesson on "Don' you know how to drive!" to compare. The base on the voices is deeper and there is was no background noise or popping that I noticed.
