August 21, 2016 at 2:12 AMLike emmaleeson, I also miss the videos. They make ChinesePod feel more like being in a classroom than on a computer.

August 20, 2016 at 12:12 AMThe grammar section explains "guo" as "having the experience of." What purpose does "guo" and "le" have when combined together? For example, if I ask someone if they've eaten, "Ni chi le me?," they answer "wo chi guo le." Of course they've had the experience of eating (or they wouldn't be alive) so it seems "chi le" would be enough. Could this be just the local dialect or does combining "guo" and "le" have a grammatical function?

June 1, 2016 at 10:47 PMThe "Class Materials" section of Downloads doesn't open. An error message says "NoSuchKeyThe specified key does not exist" followed by a string of numbers and letters. I'm using Firefox if maybe that has something to do with it. Many thanks!

May 13, 2016 at 4:46 PMThe downloaded file doesn't seem to have sound. It may just be my computer but I haven't been able to hear any sound after trying several times to re-download the lesson. If anyone has had better luck please let me know. In that case, I'll start looking for problems on my computer rather than the file itself.
While I'm here...just a note to say ChinesePod is one of those rare services where I always feel I'm getting much more than I pay for. Many thanks to all the behind-the-scenes people who consistently bring excellence in everything they produce!

February 11, 2016 at 12:30 AMI understand judycarruth's thinking that silliness detracts from learning but I respectfully disagree. "Silliness" isn't how I describe it. The back-and-forth between hosts makes the dialogues seem more like I'm there in the room learning with them rather than located in front of a computer screen. It makes learning less sterile and more realistic. Just my two cents worth which, after adjusting for inflation, probably isn't worth much--more silliness, right? :-)

September 5, 2016 at 12:17 PMI'm looking for the Qing Wen on comparisons that's mentioned at the end of this video. I'm probably not looking in the right place...do you have a link to it?
