March 23, 2013 at 11:44 AMYes, interesting topic. Had this very discussion with Chinese teacher this week. The dictionary and text book suggested a different tone from what she said. Am learning not to be too concerned about this - think it sometimes depends on where you are in China - bit like use of different vocabulary in different areas.
