I'm afraid not, it has quite a different inference. It can be positive or negative depending on the context.

May 5, 2010 at 7:27 AM呵呵，just do what I do folks: ignore the 'dashboard' completely, click the Lessons button at the top of the page to see all the new and recent lessons, and bookmark any that you're interested in.
Oh dear, just realised that now I've said that CPod will lay plans to remove the Lessons button so I can't do that any more!

May 3, 2010 at 4:01 AMYep, the 如果 is implied. It's extremely common in spoken Chinese to just imply a 如果 in a sentence like this. Basically there are 2 parts. Translate it literally just to consider the effect:
Recently buy stuff often make mistake (first part)
(if) have not bought fake, then just bought expensive. (second part)
