Is anyone prepared NOT to sidestep my main issue?

The real value of Amber's comments was the many sample sentences and phrases (in characters, Pinyin, and fully translated) that she gave showing how to (and how not to) use various vocabulary, in response to questions asked on this board. Without this, you are correct reigau, I can get everything I need from the downloads.

My comment about the 7 consecutive comments in characters was only my introduction - it is not my real issue. The main message I was trying to get across was what followed:

The help offered on this board by CHINESE POD STAFF to NEWBIE learners is below par. We need someone to fill Amber's shoes - someone who could give her detailed (yet concise) responses, and someone who will use Pinyin ALL the time. Amber's comments also had the effect of refocussing the discussion after it had gone off on a tangent - this effect has been sadly lacking in recent threads.

I am looking for a response from CP staff, or from true Newbies.

Seven consecutive comments written only in characters - how is this useful at all to us Newbies?

This board has lost its value since Amber left - there seems to be no-one left who capable of giving her explanations and her attention to detail.

Pete might be OK - but how would I know when he refuses to use Pinyin in most of his responses? Jenny's comments are way too brief and random. Could someone at CP PLEASE look at the quality of Amber's responses and take on her role?

Remember - we are Newbies here.
