I think,

Guys are more visual, therefore western women generally being bigger, fatter, sweatier and more often than not hairier than chinese girls, would put chinese men off.

Girls are keen on the interraction and "personality" whatever that might be which would be limited by the language barrier (read: no banter). Western blokes of asian descent are definitely a lot more attractive.

alwingate its a good thing really that Chinese pod dont do full pinyin translations. i grumbled at first, but then realised it made me focus on the characters more:)

hey, just subscribed to the lovely Chinese pod so am exploring away like a crazy lady. was just wondering if there was any chance of breaking the very complex characters stroke by stroke?
