Okay, Dad.  I'll look to you, telling me and teaching me how to do it."

Okay, Dad.  Look at you, you once again turned our talk into a lesson for me."

Thank you, ChinesePod, for these technical financial lessons. Very helpful.

I think there may be a mistake in the translation of one of the example sentences:

(You shouldn't worry about there being so many passengers on the train today. Just take advantage of the situation and not buy a ticket!)

Shouldn't the translation be: You shouldn't assume that because there are a lot of passengers today you can take advantage of the situation and not buy a ticket.

Thanks.

Have the wrong mentality?

I'm one of those nerds who is listening to all of the old lessons (thus, why I don't always comment right when the new ones come out).  I can't help noticing this lesson is very similar to Upper Intermediate Buying on TaoBao in September 2008.

I suppose TaoBao is really a 热点题材 for some people right now. But for those of us reading the Economist and FT every day instead of shopping online, China's yuan and foreign reserves as well as the global crisis are our 热点题材!  How about some more lessons on that?

(Always a big fan, John and Jenny.)

Cool lesson - helps out on those words you don't often see in HSK prep.  :-)

I am so digging this Skritter tool.  It's already aggrevating my tendonitis, though.

I have a question about the word Jenny uses for "corny" at the end.  Is she saying 肉马?  Thanks!

Long time fan, Jenny, first time poster.  As someone who would like to move back to China one day, I love the insights so far and can't wait to hear what's next.  I agree with others who have noted it would be nice to have an interview all in Chinese once in a while.  Thanks to you and John for making my morning metro rides so enjoyable.
