The expansion sentences have no audio. At least for me the orange circles keep spinning and spinning. Could you please fix that?

Lantian, in pleco the ABC dictionary has measure words, unfortunately only in pinyin - but still better than nothing.

Where are the links to the family TV show? About tipping my female Korean friends told me that it's also a gender issue. A male tipping a woman is regarded offensive in Korea, because "only prostitutes" get extra money from men. I had similar impressions during my trips to China, that tipping was not okay at all for the girls until I made clear that I am really 奴的, but I'm not sure about that. I find it worth considering, though.

I second laihama. The sound files work in the lesson's vocabulary section, but if you add them to your own vocabulary most of them don't work from there. Amber, try 一百, 一千, 一万 for example. This has been the same with other new lessons since more than a week now.

Walter, I think I found it out: the 的 de belongs to the 会 huì and emphasizes the 杀死 shā sǐ. It's indeed similar to the 是 ... 的 shì ... de emphasis pattern, but 会 ... 的 is for the future. So 老婆会杀死我 would mean "My wife will kill me". And 老婆会杀死我的 means My wife will kill me. (John, please correct me, if I'm wrong).

One of our blog readers explained that, 三八 sān bā as a derogatory term has nothing to do with international womens day, but with a poet of the Song-Dynasty called 张八 Zhang Ba and a beautiful but bad mannered concubine named 魏三 Wei San. And a poem he wrote about him and her. Regarding the lesson, I still wonder about the 的 in 老婆会杀死我的 wo laopo hui shasi wo de (see wande and my questions above) Where does the 的 belong to? To an imaginary 是 shi ... de?

AzerDocMom, isn't 三八 sān bā for girls or women only? I have it from the great Danwei Sexy Beijing Video: Sexy Beijing - Sexy San Ba (We also had great comments regarding the origin of san ba on the german blog: German Blog Post about San ba ) Or has san ba even more meanings?!

Matthewmayer, really awesome! CPod, a great lesson, again. I've always loved the airport lesson, I listen to it like music, and this one fits in. I also like the banter, not too difficult and not too easy. Seems like you chose a very special way to face all the (now finally relaxing) V3-chaos: Not only good lessons but damned good lessons. Kudos. Anne

I want to second Walter's (wande) question about the 的 in 老婆会杀死我的 ( wo laopo hui shasi wo de ). Is 会 Verb 的 a special pattern for something, that is likely to happen?
