July 25, 2019 at 11:53 AMI personally like the dynamic that has always been here at Chinese pod of one native speaker, one foreign speaker. I think it's unrealistic to expect you will sound like a perfect native if you just listen to enough natives. Josh's English is excellent but I can still tell by some of his pronunciation that English is not his first language even if all his grammar is correct. If you want to only hear authentic tones than I would suggest music, youtube vlogger videos, tv shows, movies, and news. But in a learning environment in a pre-intermediate setting, I think they are on point and it's why I have stuck with them over the years.
