August 14, 2012 at 5:01 PMPinyin and Simplification are both hated children of Maoism in Taiwan. No wonder that Wade-Giles, Tongyong Pinyin, and other romanizations are more popular than Pinyin from the Mainland. In the last years things have changed a bit, though.

or
