Thank you for you reply. It does help. Actually, I had been wondering if the presumed mistake in the English translation ("your wearing" instead of "you're wearing") was in fact not a mistake but an attempt to render the meaning you expressed in the first case (with no 的).

Now let's see if anyone has more to say...

Hello,

I am slightly confused by the expansion example: 你穿这件衣服很好看。I was expecting to see 的 as in 你穿的这件衣服... Could you explain it to me?

BTW, there is a slight mistake in the English translation; it should be 'This item of clothing you're  (not your) wearing looks really nice.'

Hello Gilles!

While I can understand your difficulties in listening to Gwilym, I don't think it is fair to complain. I don't think Gwilym speaks that fast but he does have an accent different from some of the other contributors (and from John in particular). Oh, by the way, I am French too.
