I think you guys mixed up the hongputaojiu and baiputaojiu pinyin in the supplementary section of the PDF.

my parents always taught me to eat out of the bowl (plus its easier to "clean" your bowl with the hot tea that they give you). use your plate to throw your bones and other stuff.
