Posted on: No Hot Water
February 22, 2011, 04:32 PMWhen I arrive to China, was no use to the cold and the hot water exclusive hours. Because I was slepping very late talking with friend and family, the next day missed the hot water hours.... So I learned to use the hot boiler coffe machine to get hot water and then take a bath.
I was feeling so bad to get water, waiting to boil, put it in a bucket, then do it again like 3 times. Finally I learned to go to sleep on time and get up on time specially when Beijing was around -15°. ^^

I found this sentence as examples. Both were translated with the same meaning in English, but my question is, ¿in Chinese is also equal meaning or have something different?

September 18, 2009, 04:36 PMHi!
I lived in Beijing and also got a job so I know pretty well how things turn out at 8 o'clock in the downtown.
I learned what I heard and sometime I used 口一下 But never knew if I was right... is this ok?

大家好!
I have a question for this lesson, why 长 is used in the sentence 他女朋友长什么样?
I know 长 as "long" like in 长城 but not as "look alike" or something like that. I am a little confused. 0.o
Thanks!
Note. Last year when I was in Beijing every day I was so astonished for the male look...sometimes was very hard to find out the gender. In Japan they call them "vegetarian men" because they don´t have the aggressive look anymore.
