thanks. My wife did mention she's heard jiālǐ before, but was adamant that kāli was incorrect. It's probably one of those words with regional variation

My [Taiwanese] wife noticed that the pinyin for 咖 should be 'gā' in this case. In other words "curry" is pronounced 'gāli' not 'kāli'. 咖 is one of those characters that has two different pronunciations.

Perhaps my hearing is off, but I think the lesson notes don't match the dialogue with the 3rd sentence of "A". The notes say "我午餐才...", but in the dialogue I hear "A" say "我中午才..."
