I could be wrong in saying this. but I believe méicuò is used to emphasize that something is correct - a bit like saying 'exactly'.
The transliteration I think is 'not wrong', although the meaning is more enthusiastic than when you say this in English (just as 'búcuò' is more positive than 'not bad')
