Here is my little sweetie.  Today is her 100th day, which is an important milestone for Chinese. Her mother is originally from Shandong.

In Shanghai, we hired a 'taxi' who was driving an unmarked van at the train station since we thought he might be cheaper.  He had a hard time finding the hotel and charged us double what he said he would charge. Real taxi drivers were very good.

I didn't know Amber was a fellow Canadian.  Her speech sounds completely normal. I've noticed people from Manitoba or Ontario are more likely to pronounce the 'ou' more like Hosers than the rest of us do. Who else at Cpod is Canadian?

I loved the video, Jenny is as photogenic in video lessons as she is articulate in her recorded ones.

Like most people, I am a visual learner and appreciate seeing the objects I am trying to memorize.

I just got back from my first visit to China a couple of days ago, which was fantastic by the way. I noticed a lot of farmers fields had what seemed to be burial mounds or grave stones on them.
