October 1, 2009 at 4:25 AMMy husband and I are watching the parade and we think it is quite impressive :-)
If I was Chinese I would be proud! I particularly liked the female jet pilots!

September 27, 2009 at 4:46 AM@go manly: well, don't bother: you still can be a "salon sinologist".
I can assure you that I rarely speak to people who are responible for this new policy and speaking to locals opens up a whole new world :-)

September 5, 2009 at 12:19 PMTal I hoped you noticed the sarcasm ;-) If you cannot make it to Holland, try 南京.
I fly back to the Middle Kingdom in 2 weeks. Thank God: only free 5* toilets for me!

September 5, 2009 at 11:50 AMTal, if you insist on tea in Holland, give me a call. If you put the seat up you can even use my toilet ;-).
Small reminder, it was the Dutch who brought the world the stock market (and the microscope, cd, sperm, bacteria AND Australia), now I write it I wonder if those all are good things or a "Dutch glove".

September 3, 2009 at 10:17 AMCurrently I am working on a few "old" intermediate lessons and they are mostly in Chinese, it is "Shopping", "This is outrageous", there appears to be more Chinese in them...

October 2, 2009 at 11:54 PM@Tal, I am thinking about joining the army / navy *just* because of those skirts ;-) Many countries should follow China as it sets an example with their stylish army wear. I expect to see this on the catwalk in Paris in a short while. This is btw. exactly how an army should be: good looking, smiling ladies parading in fab outfits. Also the "neo Mao" outfit will be a big hit this season.
