in the vocab section , there is a phrase : “差得远” .  If somebody tells me 你的中文讲得很好， and I say "没有，还差得远啊" am I supposed to read the 差 as a 1st tone or 4th tone ?  I mean specifically for this phrase "还差得远”。　I know that it has two readings, but I want to know how to read it for this phrase/context. 

I've asked 3 Chinese people and gotten 3 different answers. One of them told me 4th tone, the second person told me 1st tone, and the last person told me both are used.
