现代汉语词典 (both 1996 and 2005 editions) defines 出租汽车 as "供人临时雇用的汽车，也叫出租车". The shorter word, 出租车, is more colloquial than the longer one, as is always the case.
It's rare to hear local people use 出租汽车 in conversation. And, 出租汽车 is often used in written Chinese and for the names of taxicab companies, such as 北京出租汽车集团公司.
Maybe, the word 出租车 is newer than 出租汽车.

In passing, please remember 水文学 (hydrology) and 地文学 (physical georgraphy). The 文 in these words means "natural phenomena".

Let me answer it for Cassie. I'm not busy. 想念 is one word and means "miss (someone), yearn for". The character 念 mainly has two meanings, "miss" and "read out". There is a similar word "怀念" (huai2 nian4), but please be careful. This word is usually used when mentioning a person who died (the departed). So you can't say 我怀念妈妈 if your mother is alive. The correct one is 我想念妈妈 in this case.

Mexican taco is very popular in Japan. I used to drink tequila when I was young. I'm afraid that I can't drink such strong liquir anymore not, haha.
Tequila : 龙舌兰酒 (long2 she2 lan2 jiu3, 龙舌兰=agave)
Mexican Taco has a few translations in Chinese.
墨西哥饼 (bing3)，墨西哥卷饼 (juan3 bing3)，墨西哥玉米饼 (yu4 mi3 bing3)

February 6, 2009 at 9:14 AMIn my city here in northeast China, a taxi driver is required to pay about 200,000 RMB, say 33,000USD, to the local government for getting an operating licence, which consequently leads to more uncivilized business manners in the industry. The CCP officials never miss an opportunity to "extort" money from 老百姓 (common people). Very impressed!

Haha, the guy seems to be one of those Chinese patriots. To tell you the truth, observing Chinese (and Korean) patriotic behavior is one of my few precious pastime. They are just worth seeing.
