Sometimes I try to modify a phrase or saying and my Chinese friends and coworkers look at me like I am crazy. It's good that we can use the same phrase everywhere.

I'm assuming that you wouldn't say the phrase in this lesson to someone on the phone or through e-mail. Would you?

How would one say "long time, no talk" in this situation?

I'm just not sure what is the correct word to use for chat/talk here.
