1. Are there HuTong(s) in cities other than Beijing? Are there HuTong(s) in Shanghai? If not, is there another word for "alley” that's used for the not so distictive alleyways in other Chinese cities？
2. Both of my mainland Chinese dictionaries have 胡同 as 2nd and 4th tone, rather than 2nd and neutral. Is Hu2tong5 how local Beijingers say it, or is that how most people in China say it?
