When we talk of left and right-wing politics in the West, how many of us try to associate those terms with our left and right sides? No, we completely divorce those ideas from our minds, and remember the terms as they are.
Why try to associate shang4 and xia4 with up and down in any way, when they refer to time?
Just remember shang4 always comes before xia4. It coudn't be easier.

In the Newbie section, there is a lesson called 'Cell Phones', and a lesson called 'Getting a Phone Number'. All links to the first seem to take you to the second, so the former lesson seems to be inaccessible. Could you fix this please.

April 8, 2009 at 11:10 AMI have been attempting to learn the language because I wanted to visit China one day. But after getting a glimpse of the revolting sanitary habits of the Chinese, not to mention what they are prepared to put in their mouths, I have lost my appetite for the language. Would someone remind me again of the positives of living in China.
