December 11, 2007 at 2:51 AMThis message is off topic, but I'm wondering if anyone at ChinesePod can provide an update regarding the *import* feature of the vocabulary page. This feature has been missing for several weeks now, and combined with the fact that half of my vocabulary words went missing at the same time, my study program has been rather knocked off course. Meanwhile my Primium subscription is ticking away... I sent an email to tech support, and was told that the import feature was "on the to-do list", but as a software engineer myself I know that this expression is sometime used for features *way* out on the distant horizon. Could anyone provide something a little more definitive? I'm so anxious to resume my previous study regimen... I apologize if this issue has been addressed in previous posts. Much thanks, David W

September 25, 2007 at 3:03 AMHi all, I have a simple technical question. Sorry if it's a dumb one -- I'm totally new to chinesepod as of this last weekend. Today I tried to use the search feature to find any lesson containing the chinese word 差点 (almost). I hear this word used pretty often on da4shan1's daily show on CCTV and wanted to get some additional context. Strangely, no lessons were returned as matches. Am I using the search feature incorrectly, or are there really no lessons that contain this word?? Much thanks for any words of advice, David

December 11, 2007 at 4:19 PMalwingate, I wasn't aware of the downloading features you mentioned - sounds like you know quite a bit more about ChinesePod than I do. But I agree that it's a great site with tons of useful content. My problem is that I've really grown to rely on ChinesePod for managing *all* of my vocabulary, not just the vocabulary gathered from ChinesePod itself. That means I have to use the import feature to load my new words. This seems particularly important given that large chunks of my vocabulary seem to disappear from the ChinesePod site at various times (my word count, once at 650, is now at 398). With the import feature, I can simply load those lost words back in, so long as I'm careful enough to keep an archive on my home computer. Anyway, I'm just hoping that this important feature gets added back. In the meantime, I'm still enjoying all the other great benefits ChinesePod has to offer. Thanks, David W
